Gold Coast 2018 XXI Commonwealth Games

Peter Clare (M.D. Of Drakes Pride) was fortunate in being able to attend the bowls competition at the Broadbeach Bowls Club, Gold Coast, Australia during the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Great venue, great sport, great supporters and great volunteers and officials.

( England Singles) Bronze - plays with Drakes Pride bowls

 

Rob also donated to the sport of bowls memorabilia collection an England Commonwealth Games vest signed by the England bowls team.

The building work at the club was to expand it's 2 levels car park to make it into a 4 level car park!

 

 

Warilla Bowl Club

Has a indoor green as well as four outdoor greens,

 

All these clubs would be the envy of any UK bowls club but they are reliant on their poker machines to fund the bowls section of the membership.
